Hello everyone! I am excited to announce the first blog post of Security Sting. I want these posts to be as useful as possible to anyone reading them. Therefore, please leave comments or contact me with any topics you would like me to focus on. I am finishing up the second to last class in my Master’s degree and just completed a project that utilizes FTK Imager to analyze machine images. If you have access to this application, I highly recommend installing it and loading an image to begin investigating. FTK Imager by AccessData is really cool in that you can discover hidden and deleted files on someone’s machine or search through files for relevant information. This makes FTK Imager an essential tool for current or soon-to-be digital forensics investigators because it gives them the ability to search through recovered images for any useful evidence. If you would like me to post a video on the Security Sting YouTube channel about the basics of how to use FTK Imager please let me know. Please follow me on the social media app of your choosing and let’s traverse the world of cyber security together!
Don’t get stung,
